A pan-European bank
UniCredit is a pan-European commercial bank operating in Italy, Germany, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe, serving over 20 million clients with around 75,000 colleagues. The Group is built as a federation of autonomous local banks, held together by a shared strategy and three product factories — Corporate, Individual and Payment Solutions.
In the markets of the network
Central and Eastern Europe is a region of direct presence for UniCredit: the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia. Five of these countries — Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia — also host a Confindustria Est Europa representation: Italian companies operating there find the same banking counterpart on both sides of the border.
The relationship with the Federation
UniCredit supports Confindustria Est Europa as Main Partner: its mark has appeared on the network’s newsletter since September 2022, issue after issue. The partnership took shape in the Italian stops of the “InvEst” Roadshow — Turin, Milan, Bologna in the Sala Carracci, Trento, Taranto — and in the network’s events across the member countries, from the Debrecen conference for Confindustria Ungheria’s new offices to the CEE Western Balkans Forum in Belgrade.
Five countries in common
The Federation’s network and the Group overlap in five of the nine countries where Confindustria Est Europa has a Representation: an Italian company setting up there finds the same banking counterpart on both sides of the border.
